Nurses from around Wales came together recently for an intensive weekend of welsh and culture developed by Coleg Harlech WEA. They enjoyed it so much they didn’t want to go home!
Valerie Bailey RCN Wales, Professional Practice Coordinator explained, “RCN Wales worked in collaboration with WEA Cymru to provide a bespoke Welsh Cultural weekend for nurses and health care staff at Gladstone’s Library, Hawarden.
Tudur Evans, WEA Cymru, added “It is always a pleasure to work with the RCN, we were happy to develop a residential course around their requirements.
WEA Cymru are pleased to be partners supporting the UNISON Cymru Wales project, “DigiSkills Cymru”.
Project Manager, Richard Speight explained “This project is specifically for people working in the Public Sector, the aim is to provide the skills so staff can confidently use digital technologies both within their workplace and in the wider community.”
“In order to support this development we are running practical, fun workshops where staff can learn how to use digital technologies and social media to set up new working practices.”
“We have started to work in partnership with WEA Cymru to provide some of these sessions in north Wales and I look forward their continued involvement in the future as the project expands.”
