Human Biology

This module is a general introduction to some aspects of human biology and is concerned with the levels of biological organisation, cell structure and processes and methods of investigating them.

The module will introduce the student to principles of homeostasis, endocrine control and feedback, muscle contraction, the functions of the skeleton, the principles of digestion and nutrition and understand the functions of the liver and kidney.

AIM
The aim of this module is to enable the students to develop an understanding of some of the fundamental principles of human biology.
