Biological Bases of Behaviour

The module is a general introduction to neuroscience. Attempting to relate brain physiology to behaviour and cognition. It is a fascinating domain of science that has greatly expanded recently and has become a rich source of knowledge for clinicians, psychologists, and cognitivists. This course introduces the main landmarks and structures of the brain both at large scale and cellular levels and describes fundamentals of structure-function relationships.

AIMS
The aim of the module is to provide an introduction to brain regions, from major subdivisions to specific neural assemblies, and to relate this anatomical landscape to psychological functions.
