If you wish to go on to a career in nursing or other health care field, but don't currently have the qualifications required then follow this pathway.

The Programme

Students follow a core programme that is shared with the social studies students, however during the year they have the opportunity to focus on modules that will be most suitable to a future in nursing as follows

Psychology, Human Biology, Sociology of Health and Illness, Medical Ethics, Biological bases of Behaviour.

Be aware that a standard entrance requirement to a nursing degree applicants need to have a current GCSE maths qualification. At Coleg Harlech we offer GCSE maths classes and support to enable you to leave with this qualification.

Please check the university entrance criteria to ensure that on completion of your course at Coleg Harlech you will be eligible to apply for your university of choice.

The course consists of 12 modules worth 10 credits each (level 3) as follows

  2. Abnormal Psychology
  3. Medical Ethics
