Trevor Andrews

Born in Wolverhampton in 1957, after leaving school at 16 I went into full time employment with Wolverhampton Metropolitan Borough Council as a Trainee Electronics Engineer. I spent 5 years studying on day release and evening classes to gain the City & Guilds Radio, Television & Electronics Full Technician Certificate.

I then continued working as an Electronics Engineer until I gave up the city life to become and Audio Visual Technician at Coleg Harlech on 1st August 1990. At this time I started to work with the commercial video production company that was working along side students in the college from 1990 – 1993. I worked as a camera operator, video editor and various technical support roles during this time, producing both corporate and broadcast television programmes.

In 1994 I was given the opportunity to study through day release, evening and weekends for the Certificate in Education (Post 16) qualification which I gained in 1997. After this, part of my time was involved in teaching and part continuing to supporting the college computer network and audio visual equipment.

In 2004 I was employed full-time at Coleg Harlech WEA (N) working on the University of Wales Foundation Certificate, Initially within in the Music Technology Programme and then within the newly created Multimedia Programme.

In December 2007 I became the Coordinator of the Music Technology Programme. I am also working with students on the Pre Incubation Project, involving a Corporate Video Production Project & a T Shirt Design Project.
