Music Technology Course Tutor - Mike Hewitt

mike hewitt music technology course tutor

Mike earned his bachelor of music degree at London University and a master’s degree and doctorate at the University of North Wales, Bangor, where he specialised in musical composition.

He is a classically trained musician, composer, lecturer and author on music subjects. He also writes classical scores as well as soundtracks for various television productions at home and abroad.

Recent books written by Mike include Music Theory for Computer Musicians (published by Thomson Course Technology) and also The Tonal Phoenix (published by Orpheus Verlag based in Berlin).

These books have been specifically written for gigging musicians and DJ’s who understand how to play their instruments but need to get to grips with the music theory needed to compose truly professional tracks.

Mike uses this expertise to guide students through the composition elements of the music technology course
