Music Technology College Course, MIDI Sequencing and Devices Module

A study of Reason (music station software) for music production and composition. As the term progresses students will be introduced to DAW recording (audio production software) and will learn how to combine both programs using rewire protocol. Also they will receive instruction in basic MIDI hardware connectivity. On completion of this module each student will keep an original CD recording and produce a written summary of the creative and technical processes involved. Also a weekly lecture is delivered to crystallise and explore related issues.

AIMS
The aim of the module is to provide an introduction to music production using software and MIDI hardware producing at least one piece of work by the end of term.
