Coleg Harlech specialise in courses for people who feel their options are limited because they have few qualifications and are particularly suitable for mature learners who have been out of education for a while, younger applicants are welcomed who can demonstrate an interest in the subject.

The most important thing is to have enthusiasm and a desire to move forwards.

Tutors are committed to giving mature students the expertise, guidance and support they require to successfully complete their chosen course. Teaching is designed to build confidence and mainly takes place in the form of small groups and one-to-one tutorials.

Students pursue a University of Wales Foundation Certificate over 1 year full time or 2 years part time in either Social Studies including a Pathway to Nursing, Music Technology and Creative Technologies (worth 120 credits at level 3). Many students completing their course go on to University others to a wide range of career paths.
