Email a friendGeneral Information about Coleg Harlech Full Time CoursesColeg Harlech exists to provide educational opportunities for people who missed out when they were younger. Applicants are over 20, and do not need to have any formal educational qualifications. Students come from all walks of life, some just want to change direction. Others come from a background of unemployment, low skilled work and homelessness, all are looking for a way of changing their lives through education. Bursaries are available for most students accepted into the College, these pay for the tuition fees plus board and accommodation costs. Tutors are committed to giving mature students the expertise, guidance and support they require to successfully complete their chosen course. Teaching is designed to build confidence and mainly takes place in the form of small groups and one-to-one tutorials. Students pursue a one year course leading to a University of Wales Foundation Certificate in either Multimedia, Social Studies including a Pathway to Nursing, Music Technology and Art and Design Technologies (worth 120 credits at level 3). Many students completing their course go on to University others to a wide range of career paths. This qualification is validated and awarded by the University of Wales.
