Email a friend Why not start your Social Studies Degree at Coleg Harlech?Tutors: Mark Jenkins and Paula Rhodes It is possible to study the first year of the Bangor University Social Studies degree course at Coleg Harlech. The first year of the course includes a general introduction to the social sciences which has to be completed by all applicants before progressing onto the second and third years, delivered solely in Bangor at the university. Progression includes courses in Social/Health Studies, Sociology/Crime and Justice, Sociology, History and many others. (Note: It is not possible to progress to any vocational courses like nursing, social work or psychology from this course). Whilst students from the Coleg Harlech Social Studies/Access to Nursing course are able to progress onto the degree course, anyone can apply who has not completed this course, as long as they have the entry requirements. These could include a recent course undertaken at a college, either completed or not, we will need evidence of recent study in the past two years. If you wish to apply you will need to follow the standard UCAS procedure. Please feel free to contact Mark Jenkins or Paula Rhodes for any further information and to arrange an informal interview by ringing Student Admissions 01766 781900 or email info@fc.harlech.ac.uk Nicki Walker is one of the students currently following this course she said "I’ve chosen to do the first year of the degree at Coleg Harlech because for someone like me who’s been out of education for a long time, it’s ideal, it’s a much more intimate setup than University and the tutors are able to offer more support." |
